I’m excited to finally be able to say that my debut album NIghtflowers is out and available for purchase on my website and Bandcamp, and available for streaming on Youtube and Soundcloud, with Spotify and Apple Music coming soon!
Today is the culmination of a long musical journey, and I wanted to take the time to thank the people who got me here and helped me along the way.
I’d like to thank my parents, Lynn and Susan, for being so supportive of my passion for music, and for giving me and my brothers the tools and equipment to explore our musical talents.
I’d like to thank my brothers, Zach and David, for giving me a competitive reason to learn the guitar and drums growing up, and for being overall very cool dudes.
I’d like to thank my Uncle Mark for lending me his Fender acoustic guitar to learn on. I’ve never played a guitar that had such high action, which has turned out to be a blessing.
I’d like to thank Amanda Granrud for giving me her extra copy of Nirvana’s Nevermind when I was 13, which legitimately changed my life.
I’d like to thank Anisha Gujral, who has been a constant source of support and a pretty great photographer.
I’d like to thank my roommates, James Sully, Romu Enukpere, and Angus McRae for putting up with all the noise I made while recording and mixing this album.
I’d like to thank all of my former bandmates, James, Greg, Collin, Weston, Chaz, Clint, Austin, Robbie, Chase, Ben, Storm, Ben, Alex, Michael, Craig, Matt, Joel, Kevin, Lauren, Eileen, Joe, Diana, and Arshad. It was a blast playing with all of you at one point in my life or another.
I’d like to thank Gigi Abass for forcing me up on stage to sing Karaoke, which made realize, maybe I wasn’t THAT bad at this singing thing.
Finally, I’d like to thank all the musicians that made music that influenced me in one way or another, and I’m hoping I’m lucky enough to pass in on to someone else.
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s rock. Hope you enjoy the album.
